Thanks for visiting my blog. Happypotomu...Hi again. Thanks for visiting my blog. Happypotomus is not too difficult to make, especially as you say you can do the basic stitches and read a pattern. I put a link to the pattern under the last photo (the bum end!). It is a 35 page pdf file with very detailed instructions for making each motif, and for joining them all together, with lots of helpful photos. It might be a good project for you as the motifs are all made separately so they are nice little pieces of work to pick up when you feel well enough, and have a half hour to spare. I made a chart of how many were needed in each size and ticked them off as I made them. Then when I had made them all I put her together. You might find the crochet join method a bit hard but you could easily sew them together. Remember it is an American pattern, so if you are British (sorry I didn't stop to check), then dc means treble, and sc means double crochet! Other than that, it is very straight forward and great fun. I normally grow (except this year, when I didn't) eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, and bell peppers. Of course, I always have a pot or two of basil going. So, as you can tell, I'm a big fan of Italian. You're not alone in withdrawing when ill, I do it myself. Just concentrate on getting well again. Your art journal is a good way of keeping going when you're feeling out of sorts. Your daughter is very talented and the journal page is a great way of preserving her napkin art. Hope you continue to recover and that you have a wonderful weekend too.
